St. Wendel (Germany), 11th June 2023 – The great heat did not stop the large audience from coming to another racing day hosted at the circuit of St. Wendel and supporting home hero Marc Reiner Schmidt (L30 Racing Tm Factory). The German rider was phenomenal as he won both motos and moved back to the head of the Championship.
S1GP Fast Race
As the red lights blinked off for the start of the Fast Race Thomas Chareyre (TC4R1 Racing) grabbed the lead of the race but his lead lasted one lap only. It was easy for Marc Reiner Schmidt (L30 Racing Tm Factory) to move at the front and take the lead; the home hero rode a storming session and opened a gap over rivals. Behind the leader, a close battle went down among three riders. Thomas Chareyre could not find the right race pace and was overtaken by both Lukas Hollbacher (MTR Ktm Racing) and Markus Class (Husqvarna). The KTM rider tried to close the gap with the leader, but Schmidt’s advantage was far too big, so he had to feel happy with the second position. Markus Class had to try his best to keep Thomas Chareyre behind, as it seemed like he could take back the third place
