Cerghid 7 September – The Transylvania Ring was the setting of the excellent performance registered in the time practice by Andrea Benvenuti (KTM Mtr Racing). The rider had no rivals and set an incredible time every time he hit the track despite an epic crash in the free practices. Benvenuti was followed by Nathan Terraneo (KTM) and Yesevii Kovalov (Husqvarna).
SM Junior Free Practices
Despite a bad crash, luckily without consequences, in the first free practices Andrea Benvenuti (KTM Mtr Racing) proved to be the undisputed leader of the SM Junior. The rider on his KTM was the only one who could make the long jump in the off-road section and set a phenomenal time compared to those set by his rivals. Nathan Terraneo (KTM) was second, with a 2-tenth of a second gap and Yesevii Kovalov qualified third.

SM Junior Time Practice
The time practice had the same script as the morning session. Andrea Benvenuti was once again the fastest rider and improved his time of one second compared to the one set in the free practices. It seemed like the Italian rider had no rivals on this track which features a very technical off-road section. Benvenuti will pull away from the pole position and his main goal will be achieving another success to make this season a perfect one. Behind the Italian rider Nathan Terraneo and Yevsevii Kovalov battled it out for the second place which went to the Swiss rider even if the gap dividing him from the pole position was significant.
