Sankt Wendel 17 August – A beautiful day was the perfect background to the victory of home hero Marc Reiner Schmidt (L30 Racing TM Moto) who worked his way up from fourth place thanks to a masterful riding style. Tough Elia Sammartin (Gazza Racing) qualified second and a phenomenal Steve Bonnal (Team 11) took third place.
Time practice & Superpole S1GP
A thrilling time practice saw Marc Reiner Schmidt (L30 Racing TM Moto) taking the lead of the pack closely chased by Elia Sammartin (Gazza Racing). In the first part of the time practice Thomas Chareyre (SGR Grau Racing) could not find the right race pace to reach the top riders and could not do any better than the eighth time. In the last minutes the French rider found the winning rhythm and took the lead, but his main rivals overtook him. First it was Sammartin and then Schmidt, so Chareyre dropped to third place but unfortunately at the end of the session the best time set by the rider was revoked because of irregularities so Chareyre was relegated to eighth place. Excellent performance for home rider Nico Joannidis (TM Moto), fifth qualified. Steve Bonnal (Team 11), Julen Avila Cortes (KTM Mtr Racing) and Milan Sitniansky (Honda) reached the Superpole with Julen being the best Rookie rider.
For the second time in a row, the best rider of the Superpole was Elia Sammartin who finished in front of Steve Bonnal and Avila Cortes. Home hero Marc Reiner Schmidt made a mistake in the fast lap and could not do any better than fourth place.

Race One
During the warmup lap Julen Avila Cortes made a mistake in the first corner and crashed ruinously, unfortunately after the rider got back to track, he was forced to abandon the race. As the red lights blinked off Steve Bonnal took the lead of the race in the first corner, with Elia Sammartin who was caught unprepared and was also overtaken by Marc Reiner Schmidt. The latter moved to the front and took the lead in the second lap after overtaking French Bonnal, but Sammartin did not lose time and reached home hero Schmidt. The German kept a thrilling race pace and opened a gap over the Italian rider. Behind them Thomas Chareyre was the author of a phenomenal recovery from the eighth spot till he reached Sammartin. Despite it seemed Chareyre had the right race pace to reach the top spot the rider crashed twice and ended up in fifth place. Tim Slazai triumphed in the Rookie class, while second and third place went to Eddy French and Andreas Buschenberger.
